Crew

Floor Burnin'

Floor Burnin' crew was founded in 2000 by Blaze and Eddy. They start to train bboying ( breakdance )  in a local Café in the city of Weert with some old school friends (Davy, Geert, Rene, Jordy, Bennie, Voltage and Hans). After a while we began joining competitions with some bboys from Sittard with who we trained in the past already. People began to notice us as a crew and we started to put Weert on the map. At the same time DJ 2-hype and Sapo joined our crew. DJ 2-hype spinned records at our training sessions and graffiti artist Sapo started bboying too.

After 2 Years (2002) representing hard we decided to focus on the future of the crew by training young crew members in the ages of 14 years. That same year our pupils already won the regional finals of the Dutch championships.

In 2003 the old school members made their first showcase with a duration of 12 minutes. We created our own choreography, music and styling for  the show. We did several shows in the region Weert and the crowd where enthusiastic. This was for us a reason to start in 2004 with a new showcase based on the 2003 showcase only done by the younger crew members (around 14 years old) and only 6 minutes duration. This show was based on the Terminator movie “Rise Of The Machines” our show was called “Rise Of The Bboys”.

For the old school crew members the year 2005 was the final chapter regarding doing competitions. We decided to put all our experience and energy in our younger crew members, to give them a jump start in bboying.

Since 2006 this crew from the city of Weert (The Netherlands) is on its way to becoming a household name on the European B-Boy scene. The most striking feature of this crew is that it consists of 20 dancers aged 8 to 20. Floor Burnin’ competes in both national and international battles and showcase competitions.
